Who We Are...Shaping the Future through Charitable Giving

In the spirit of #NationalRoofingWeek and #CharitableGiving, Diamond Roofing is committed to securing the roofing industry's future excellence and a proud #GovernorMember of the Roofing Alliance, The Foundation of NRCA. The Roofing Alliance is a diverse, thoughtful and dedicated forum of roofing contractors, manufacturers, distributors, service providers and industry professionals united in shaping, improving and advancing the roofing industry.

The Roofing Alliance: A non-profit rapidly growing membership-based organization that provides funding to address critical issues in the roofing industry. This includes roofing education, training, and technology. The Roofing Alliance also supports effective, environmentally conscious building practices, like sustainable roof design. From funding advanced education programs to partnering with national charities to investing in comprehensive research studies, the Roofing Alliance is committed to the advancement of the roofing industry.

Proud to Provide Community Service and Philanthropy: Whether it’s providing roofing industry scholarships (to construction management students, NRCA members’ employees and family members), funding comprehensive training programs, or contributing to community service in the roofing industry, the Roofing Alliance’s objective is to advance education and benefit the overall well-being of local communities. Here are some charitable programs and causes that Roofing Alliance members are passionate about, generously fund, and dedicate their time towards:

National Organizations: Partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC), Roofing Alliance and NRCA members offer inspections, repairs, and roof system replacements for the 165 stand alone Ronald McDonald Houses in the U.S. These “homes away from home” are provided to families in need who have children being treated for serious illnesses and other debilitating injuries at nearby hospitals. The Roofing Alliance also provided sponsorship funds for the National Women in Roofing (NWIR) association, which is committed to creating more opportunities for women to establish a career in the roofing industry.

Charitable Programs: The Roofing Alliance has developed several signature programs designed to make a difference in the roofing community. Here are a few of those programs:

  • The Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards program recognizes the charitable deeds and community involvement of outstanding roofing professionals. These employees’ accomplishments and contributions to the community are recognized at the NRCA Industry Award Ceremony and Cocktail Reception held annually at the International Roofing Expo® (IRE).

  • The Helping Our Own Program provides charitable donations to families in the roofing industry that have experienced life-changing events.

  • CM Cares is a service learning initiative focused on teaming students, faculty, staff and industry partners with construction-related projects for people with special needs or local community service agencies needing assistance.

Roofing Professional Development: The Roofing Alliance gives roofing professionals the opportunity to not only impact their community through funding efforts, but to ensure the success of the industry’s future by supporting a collective forum of roofing professionals committed to developing roofing industry studies and roofing professional development initiatives. The organization has collectively allocated over $5.9 million in funding to distinguished universities and national organizations for technology, education, and research study projects. The Roofing Alliance has also funded NRCA’s ProCertification™ program, an in-depth work training program that is designed to recruit, educate, and retain the next generation of roofing professionals.
